My adjunct appointment at UWA has been renewed
When I first met Prof Colmer at a conference in the Netherlands back in 2001, I had no idea this would be the beginning of a long and fruitful collaboration.
The collaboration has resulted in more than 45 joint papers in prestigious international journals and I have been visiting UWA each year since 2004. In 2009, I spent my 6 months sabbatical at UWA; this was a particular enjoyable time and extremely productive.
Many of my students have been taking advantage of my relationship with Prof Colmer. BSc, MSc and PhD students have been visiting his lab to conduct research that I am unable to support here at UCPH. We have also had students that we jointly supervised with a student coming to my lab for research.
With the current appointment, another 3 years are waiting in the horizon. Time will show if 2020 will be the first year since 2004 where I am unable to visit UWA due to the ongoing travel restrictions caused by Covid19.
