Our LGF1 paper made it to the cover of New Phytologist

We have already had fantastic response to our paper in New Phytologist that reports on the discovery of the LGF1 gene in rice, the gene that confers flood tolerance via coding for superhydrophobic cuticles. And now the study also made it to the cover of New Phytologist! They selected the great photo taken by Keisuke Nagai from Nagoya University and shows the silvery sheen of a leaf gas film on rice with LGF1 and a leaf with no gas film from a rice mutant (drp7) lacking the LGF1 gene. Since the story made it to the cover, New Phytologist have granted open access for 3 months – enjoy ready if you have not already done so!
