Shuai Tong has now graduated - CONGRATULATIONS
Shuai Tong joined my group back in October 2020. Despite the Covid restrictions and multiple lockdowns, Shuai handed in his thesis on the 30th of October 2023. And what a thesis it is! It contains two published papers (one in the Journal of Experimental Botany and one in Rice) and a manuscript ready for submission. Moreover, the thesis contains a well-written and comprehensive introduction to the topic. Therefore, the Assessment Committee was happy to recommend that Shuai be awarded the PhD degree based on the thesis and the oral defense.

The reception after the oral defense was VERY enjoyable with great selection of snacks from both China and Denmark.
