New state-of-the-art LED lights in our constant temperature room
We recently had an incident in our constant temperature room where a high-pressure Hg lamp exploded. Luckily, there was no one in the room when it happened… However, it made us think that now is a good time to opt for a more safe and energy-friendly solution, and therefore we removed the old lamps and installed brand new high-output, full-spectrum LED panels. The light quality is supposed to be better, and the power consumption is definitely lower for each photon produced. Our estimates show that we will cut the electricity bill with more than 50%, and in addition to the much safer choice, it also paves the road for Silver Status in the LEAF Green Lab Certification.
