Shuai Tong has now commenced his PhD study in our group
Shuai Tong has won a prestigious scholarship from China Scholarship Council and is now ready to start his thesis work here at the University of Copenhagen. Tong graduated from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Beijing earlier this year and will be working with flood and salinity tolerance of rice.
Tong needs to revise his proposal so that it aligns with the research that we are currently doing and he will be affiliated with our Danida-funded Climate-smart African rice where we collaborate with IRRI in the Philippines, IRRI in Kenya and Sokoine University of Agriculture in Tanzania.
With Tong's background in genetics, I expect that he will be able to add valuable skills to our group.
