Welcome to our new PhD student, Zhiwei Song
First day at work - and Song was thrown directly into an experiment that belongs to Tong, Johan and Max. We have tremendous difficulties growing Oryza granulata - Johan has a germination rate of only 2%. But now the combined skill of all involved has resulted in a good set of plants which are now ready for experimentation.
Song was lucky to get a crash course in the MicroResp technique which was applied on root segments of O. granulata. We have already completed all the calculations and it shows how powerful and quick these measurements are.
